Banter's first release, recorded when the band had only been together a few months, and in fact, wasn't even really together! The band, then known as Rogues Gallery, had broken up shortly before the recording began due to lineup instability and lack of money. Dan, wanting to have something to show for his months of rehearsing with the band decided to record this E.P. as a solo demo. But fate would prove that this band would not die. Rogues Gallery reformed when Joe received an offer to play regular summer gigs at O'Shaffey's, a bar in Salisbury Beach, MA. The band regrouped for this opportunity, with Jeff Gourde replacing departed member Roland Pan on bass. Dan brought the new lineup in to record his solo demo, which became an enjoyable full group effort, further cementing the group's continuing future. It was decided to release the e.p. as a band product, but with a new name. Banter was born.  This CD is known for it's rawness appeal and is an interesting look into the beginnings of a Boston legend.
